Ambitious projects often stall because they become too complex to easily track: tasks are forgotten, priorities confused, or hidden dependencies uncovered. Project management– especially while working in unfamiliar territory– requires a lot of time and attention!
Once you've established your "North Star" objectives, One Track shows you the path between what you want to acheive and what, amongst all of your open threads of work, you need to need to do to get there.
Turning non-linear projects into a linear set of objectives makes complicated projects easier to track and deliver. Try it out or watch a video to see One Track in action.
One Track is designed for people who work on many different kinds of interconnected tasks. This kind of project management is less well-served by the dominant Kanban-style tooling.
Kanban tools are very commonly-used, and for good reason! But, Kanban was designed for coordinating a large number of highly specialized workers, each always focusing on small portions of an automotive assembly line. Not every project is organized like a car factory, and Kanban isn't always the best solution.
One Track keeps track of the graph of dependencies across your project. Ideal for projects where people perform many different kinds of tasks, One Track sorts available work based on downstream tasks and deadlines. This allows One Track to reduce the cost of context switching and makes it easier to understand how to move the project forward.
Project management can involve sensitive information, and security is always a priority. To protect your work, One Track uses end-to-end encryption, protecting your data from mining or server exploits. See our dedicated security page for more information.
In broad strokes, we use a BYOK architecture and never send your keys over the network. TLS is mandatory for all browser-server communication.
One Track does not display advertisements and only leverages strictly necessary cookies (used to support logging in). This limits the attack surface for attacks or tracking.
Efficient systems are generally more scalable. By leveraging highly efficient web technologies (WebAssembly, well-designed caching and compression policies, a serverless and performant Rust backend) and eschewing invasive and computationally‑expensive consumer tracking technologies, One Track is able to deliver a fast, delightful, and effective project management tool with a fraction of the resource footprint of traditional cloud-based project management tools.
The reduced computational load is handled by French Scaleway datacenters. Aside from Scaleway's significant and multilateral investment in environmentalism and energy sobriety, their French datacenters are powered by the national grid, which produces "the lowest per capita emissions of advanced economies" according to the International Energy Agency (2021), producing 88% of its electricity from zero-emission sources.
One Track is a French startup aligned with the EU's initiatives to improve digital sovereignty, supporting the EU's goals for privacy, security, and equitable access in the digital sphere. Leveraging EU compute and storage providers, One Track contributes to the European technical ecosystem and complies with European consumer privacy regulations.
